Our powerful plunge router is the essential power tool for cutting kitchen worktop joints, shaping grooves, cutting rebates, and creating decorative mouldings in timber. The plunge mechanism lets you start cuts in the middle of a workpiece — not just from the edges — giving you full flexibility for worktop fitting and joinery work. Most commonly hired for kitchen worktop installation, where it's used with a worktop jig (available separately) to cut the precise joint profiles needed for clean, flush butt joints and Belfast/mason's mitre joints. Also excellent for routing hinge recesses, lock mortices, and decorative edge profiles. Supplied with a 3kVA transformer and 110V extension lead included in the hire price. Variable speed control lets you match the cutting speed to the material and bit type for clean, burn-free results. Runs on 110V for safe site use. Compatible with standard 1/2" shank router bits. Worktop jig available to hire separately.
