Just Tool Hire ("we", "us") operates newcastletoolhire.co.uk and provides tool and plant hire across Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and Cheshire. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

- Booking & enquiry details — name, mobile number, email (if provided), delivery and billing addresses, postcode, hire dates, equipment requested, and quote totals.
- Service messages — WhatsApp, SMS, phone or email correspondence about your hire.
- Website analytics — anonymised or pseudonymised usage data via Google Analytics (page views, device type, approximate location from IP) when cookies/analytics are loaded.
- Technical data — browser type and basic logs needed to run the site and process form submissions (including via our hosting provider, Netlify).
We do not take card payments online. Payment is arranged on delivery (cash or card in person).
3. Why we use your data
- To provide quotes, confirm availability, deliver and collect equipment (contract / pre-contract steps).
- To contact you about your booking, changes, or safety/collection arrangements (legitimate interests / contract).
- To improve the website and understand demand (legitimate interests; analytics).
- To meet legal or accounting obligations where required.
4. Who we share data with
We only share what is necessary with:
- Hosting and form processing (e.g. Netlify) for website and booking forms.
- Analytics (Google Analytics) as described above.
- Map / postcode lookup services used only to calculate delivery distance (e.g. postcodes.io / routing APIs) — you supply the postcode for a quote.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for unrelated marketing lists.
5. How long we keep data
Booking and contact details are kept for as long as needed to complete the hire and for a reasonable period afterwards for queries, insurance, or accounting (typically up to 6 years for business records where relevant). Analytics data is retained according to the analytics provider settings.
6. Your rights

7. Cookies
