The JCB 8008 micro excavator is the smallest digger in our fleet — and the most versatile for tight-access projects. With retractable tracks that narrow to just 700mm, it fits through standard garden gates, side passages between houses, and even through doorways for internal demolition work. Despite its compact size, this 980kg machine delivers serious digging performance for its class. Perfect for digging foundations for extensions and conservatories, excavating for drainage runs and soakaways, preparing ground for driveways and patios, and garden landscaping earthworks. The zero tailswing design means the machine body doesn't extend beyond the track width when rotating — critical when working next to walls, fences, and parked vehicles. This is the digger that goes where larger machines simply cannot. Delivered and collected by our plant hire partner on a trailer.
